Provincial police have pressed charges after a car accident that resulted in the death of a teenager from St. Thomas last November.
Five months following a tragic incident involving a grain truck that took the life of a St. Thomas teen, police have announced that charges have been made against the 17-year-old driver.
As reported by CTV News, on Nov. 14, 2025 at around 12:57 p. m., Elgin County OPP, fire crews, and EMS were called to the intersection of Quaker Road and Southdale Line due to reports of a two-vehicle accident.
The crash involved a sedan and a grain truck.

A 17-year-old girl from St. Thomas, later identified as Hadley Denison, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Just days later, on Nov. 17, 2025, Hadley was declared brain dead, and her family honored her wish to be an organ donor.
In an update from Elgin County OPP on Tuesday, it was revealed that after the investigation concluded, the driver of the sedan has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving causing death.
The youth’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
