We are saddened to share the news of Brian George Cumming’s passing on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the age of 71. Brian was a devoted husband, proud father, grandfather, and a true family man who touched the lives of everyone around him.
He enjoyed 50 beautiful years of marriage with his wife Donna, who was not only his partner but also his best friend. Together they created a loving family filled with joy and countless wonderful memories.
Brian will be profoundly missed by his children Janet and her husband Paul, Jeannie, and Jenny and her husband Grant. He took great pride in being a grandfather to Justin, Jordan, Jadyn, Tyler, and Evan.
His brothers Larry and Robert along with his wife Vera and sister Heather will also feel his absence deeply.
A sports enthusiast at heart, Brian was always eager to support the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He had a special fondness for animals too, particularly dogs.
After retiring, you could often find Brian with a Tim Hortons coffee in hand; he truly loved his Timmies!
Above all else, Brian will be remembered as an incredible husband, father, and grandfather. He was warm-hearted, compassionate, and always present for those he cared about. His family and friends will miss him greatly.
The visitation is scheduled at Legacy Funeral Home located at 55 Cedar Pointe Drive in Barrie (with parking available on the Hwy 400 side) on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 7 – 9 p. m. Family members and friends will share tributes starting at 7:30 p. m.
