A driver has been hospitalized with critical injuries after a single-vehicle accident on westbound Highway 403 in Mississauga.
Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to the scene near Hurontario Street just before 2 p. m. on Monday.
Authorities reported that the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The westbound lanes remain closed at Hurontario, and police indicate that drivers should prepare for a “prolonged closure during the on-site investigation and clean-up efforts.”
The reason for the crash is still under investigation.
