A 77-year-old woman from Guelph lost her life in a two-vehicle crash in Cambridge on Friday morning.
At around 11:40 a. m., police from Waterloo regional arrived at the scene of the accident, which involved a white Hino truck and a silver Subaru hatchback near Maple Grove Road and Speedsville Road.
Authorities reported that the driver of the Subaru, an 81-year-old man, was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The Guelph woman was riding as a passenger in the Subaru and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Hino truck did not suffer any physical injuries.
Maple Grove Road is currently closed between Boxwood Drive and Speedsville Road while police carry out their investigation.
