It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Couvillon shares the news of his passing on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the age of 78. He was a loving husband to Donna Couvillon (nee Gauthier) for nearly 54 years. He was a devoted father to Kate Couvillon and the late Kevin Couvillon (2010). David was also a caring brother to Janet Hazlett, the late Marilyn James (2019), Joanne (Sheryl), and Michael (Belinda). For over 60 years, he enjoyed traveling with his close friends Allan and Renée Mac Kenzie. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, and extended family. David served for 32 years with the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board. As a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, he dedicated his time volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters. His generous spirit was evident in his achievement of donating blood more than 100 times. David loved to travel before and after retirement, always eager for new adventures. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to visit Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234) on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and again from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. A memorial service will occur at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 11:00am, followed by interment. In honor of David’s memory, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
