With delicate pink and white petals blossoming on cherry trees all over Ontario, residents in Brampton can enjoy the beauty without traveling far.

There are several spots in the city where these stunning trees can be seen in full bloom.

You can find them at Joyce Archdekin Park, along Main Street South, and at the entrance to Gage Park.

The city takes care of about 70 cherry blossom trees that were given as part of the Sakura Project.

This initiative provided trees to various public places in Ontario as a gesture of goodwill and friendship between Japan and Ontario.

The Parks and Forestry department of the city planted these community trees back in 2002 and 2003.

Visitors are reminded not to pick the blossoms, tug on the branches, or climb on the trees, as this can harm future blooms.
