It is with great sadness that we share the news of Jenny Petersen’s passing at HSC in Winnipeg, MB on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

She leaves behind her husband Kevin, sons Cole and Dustin, sister-in-law Sharlene Lodge, nephew Brett Lodge, Uncle Dennis Lofstrom and Aunt Rosalie Lofstrom. Also mourning her loss are many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and her beloved family dogs.

Jenny was predeceased by her parents Carol Chabluk (Rivers), Joseph Berry, stepfather Walter Chabluk, mother-in-law Marlene Petersen, father-in-law Sheldon Petersen, her grandparents and brother-in-law Robert Lodge.

Jenny grew up in Winnipeg where she attended university and met the love of her life, Kevin. Together they built a loving home in Pinawa filled with wonderful memories over the years.

Kildonan Park held a special significance for Jenny. It was where she spent joyful moments during her youth, celebrated her wedding and created countless cherished memories that she loved to recount. Her tales of independence and adventure from those teenage years were always full of laughter and nostalgia.

Jenny had a unique hobby of treasure hunting; she loved finding just the right items to decorate her home or gift to friends. Her Christmas tree was adorned with these special finds and meaningful keepsakes that showed off her creativity and thoughtfulness.

Her kindness shone through in her frequent calls checking in on everyone with a warm “Hey, how are you doing?” Without a doubt, Jenny’s greatest pride was in being a mother to Cole and Dustin. She offered them endless love, patience and guidance while encouraging them to explore life’s adventures. Her ability to make them feel valued will always resonate within their hearts. ❤️

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at both Pinawa Hospital and HSC for their exceptional care and compassion shown towards Jenny during this time.

Jenny may you find peace among fields of Dandelions-your favorite flower.

In line with Jenny’s wishes cremation has taken place without any formal service.
