Pauline passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on April 8, 2026. She’s moved from a life full of energy to enjoying eternal peace. We take comfort knowing she is with her Lord and Saviour. She was a loving mother to the late Clare, Michelle (Tom Toole), Margo (Jim Yanchula), Catherine (Marcus Girgis), Therese (Benny Santoro), Charlie (Karen), and Denise. Pauline was a cherished Mémé to Sidney (Dan), Samuel, Mateja, Micah (Lyric), Sophia, Milo, Quinn, Levi and the great-grandmother of Makaiah. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Claire Laforet as well as her brother Robert Laforet. Surviving are her sisters-in-law Arlene Laforet and Claudette Mc Lenahan. Many nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors and all who were lucky enough to know her will miss her deeply.
One of her favorite places was at the kitchen table with others where she loved to share laughs and listen. Pauline had a strong faith as a devoted Catholic which she carried throughout her life. Born and raised in Stop 26 in Riverside, she took pride in her family’s roots in the area. Her caring personality led her into nursing where she dedicated herself to volunteering and helping those around her.
