A motorcyclist has died after his bike veered off the road and hit some trees just west of Perth, Ont.
The accident took place around 6:15 p. m. on Friday along Upper Scotch Line in Tay Valley Township, according to a release from Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The victim, a 43-year-old man from Carleton Place, was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly was pronounced dead there, police reported.
Part of Upper Scotch Line remained closed until early Saturday morning but has since reopened.

The OPP is still looking into the incident.
