HAMILTON – Hamilton police report that three individuals have been taken into custody as part of an investigation that uncovered illegal drugs, weapons, and an unauthorized dog breeding operation.
Authorities say they received tips last month about a business on King Street East that was reportedly engaged in the illegal sale of cannabis and other substances.
A search warrant led to the confiscation of drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine, and officers also discovered 10 dogs suspected to be involved in illegal breeding activities.
Hamilton Animal Services took charge of eight puppies along with two adult dogs.
Investigators also revealed the existence of two labs believed to have been used for producing crack cocaine.
The three suspects face several charges, including possession with intent to distribute and possession of a prohibited weapon.
