Hamilton police report that a motorcyclist has died after colliding with a pickup truck on Friday.
At approximately 12:40 p. m., officers arrived at the intersection of Concession 5 Road and Kirkwall Road near Westfield Heritage Village where the accident took place.
Upon arrival, emergency services were performing “life-saving measures” on the motorcyclist who was later declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene and did not sustain any injuries.
A second motorcyclist also lost their life later that day in Hamilton near Upper Stoney Creek when they collided with a Toyota SUV at the intersection of Pritchard Road and Harlowe Road.
A woman driving the SUV, along with “a young female passenger,” experienced minor injuries.
Hamilton police are asking for witnesses to both incidents to come forward.
