Ontario revealed today it will invest close to $40 million to enhance Wasaga Beach.
Premier Doug Ford mentioned that $25 million will be allocated for the renovation of the Nancy Island Historic Site.
This site includes an old museum that showcases the battle involving the HMS Nancy, which captured two U. S. schooners before being sunk during the War of 1812.

Ford also stated that part of the beach owned by the province will be handed over to the town with the requirement that it always remains public.
Tourism Minister Stan Cho indicated that a marketing campaign would soon launch to attract visitors to popular spots across Ontario, including Wasaga Beach, known as the world’s longest freshwater beach.
