TORONTO (AP) – Dániel Sallói and Niklas Dorsch each scored in the last 12 minutes, helping Toronto FC secure a 3-3 draw with Charlotte FC on Wednesday night.

Toronto (4-7-9) was down 3-1 when Sallói found the net in the 77th minute with help from Theo Corbeanu and Markus Cimermancic, marking his fifth goal of the season.

Dorsch netted the equalizer in the 90th minute, scoring for the second time in his first three league games, thanks to assists from Derrick Etienne Jr. and Jackson Gilman.

Nineteen-year-old rookie forward Rodolfo Aloko opened the scoring for Charlotte at 1-0 in the 8th minute, assisted by Ashley Westwood. This was Aloko’s first goal during his tenth match and fourth start.

Josh Sargent and defender Richie Laryea helped set up Markus Cimermancic’s first career goal, allowing Toronto to level things just six minutes later. This marked Cimermancic’s fourth appearance this season after making nine as a rookie last year.

Idan Toklomati scored unassisted in the 20th minute for his fifth goal of the season, pushing Charlotte ahead again at 2-1.

A red card for Walker Zimmerman left Toronto down a player following a foul on Toklomati in the 56th minute.

Defender Henry Kessler extended Charlotte’s lead to two goals just two minutes later off a set piece, also assisted by Westwood. Westwood has now reached a career-high eight assists.

Luka Gavran recorded seven saves for Toronto.

Kristijan Kahlina made four saves for Charlotte (8-7-5), which is now 4-1-3 over its last eight matches after kicking off this streak with a home win against Toronto by a score of 3-1.

Toronto came into this game fresh off a victory over New England Revolution, which ended their win drought since April 4 with a score of 2-1.

Charlotte leads their matchup history with a record of 5 wins, 3 losses, and 2 draws.
