The City of Windsor is receiving another payment from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for hosting Caesars Windsor.
The amount for the second quarter of 2027 is $2,416,354.
“Caesars Windsor is a vital part of our local economy, supporting good jobs, attracting visitors, and generating revenue that is reinvested right here in Windsor,” said Windsor-Tecumseh MPP Andrew Dowie.
So far this fiscal year, which runs from April 1 to March 31, 2027, the city has received $5,618,878 to support programs and services.
Since gambling started in Windsor in 1994, the city has collected $146,249,146.
The payments follow a formula set out in the Municipality Contribution Agreement and are uniformly applied across all land-based casino locations in Ontario.
Over $2.4 billion has been shared with host municipalities since 1994.
