Authorities are looking into a suspicious fire that occurred at a motel in Wasaga Beach.

Late on Monday night, just before midnight, emergency responders were called to the Villa Nova Motel located on Mosley Street due to reports of a fire.

When they arrived, crews found a significant blaze engulfing the structure, primarily affecting the second floor. Fortunately, everyone inside was able to escape safely, and there were no injuries reported.

The building has been deemed “uninhabitable,” according to Huronia West OPP in their news release.
