The Ontario Provincial Police have arrested a man following a break-in at the old Kingsville District High School.

Officers responded to an alarm that went off at the closed school just before 4 a. m. on Thursday.

Upon arrival, police discovered two individuals who attempted to escape upon seeing them.

One suspect was apprehended. A 38-year-old man from Kingsville is now facing charges for breaking and entering as well as failing to comply with a probation order. He is set to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on June 2.

The search continues for the second suspect, who had long brown hair and was wearing a black leather jacket.

Investigators urge anyone with information to contact the Essex County Crime Unit at 1-888-310-1122, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or visit www. catchcrooks. com.
