The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association has plenty of exciting activities lined up for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan Fly-In Weekend at the Tillsonburg Airport.
TILLSONBURG – The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association is welcoming everyone to discover an essential chapter of Canadian history.
The British Commonwealth Air Training Plan Fly-In Weekend promises a range of fun events to celebrate a significant group in our past.
The BCATP was a collaboration between Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand that trained over 130,000 individuals as pilots, navigators, bomb aimers, wireless operators, air gunners, and flight engineers during World War II.
Public Relations Director Terry Scott mentions that they have lots of enjoyable activities planned for this Saturday and Sunday at the Tillsonburg Airport.
“We’re going to have a good variety of historic aircraft, on the ground and in the air. And we’ll have all sorts of displays and activities within our hangars and outside our hangars at the Tillsonburg Regional Airport. There will be presentations by accomplished author and historian Ted Barris who is a fantastic author and a wonderful speaker will have a kid’s Fun Zone, some fundraisers and merchandise sales, food trucks, and of course, there’s always the popular Skyway cafe at Tillsonburg airport.”
All the fun kicks off from 9:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. this Saturday and from 9:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. on Sunday. Entry is free but donations are welcome.
