A trustee from London, who won big in Monday night’s election, is urging Queen’s Park to let her and her fellow elected members get back to work at the Thames Valley District school board.
Incumbent Sherri Moore achieved a strong victory on Monday with about 20,000 votes, more than any other school board trustee candidate in the London area.
“People have clearly spoken, they have elected trustees across the province – they expect those trustees to represent them whether a board is under supervision or not,” she said. “I don’t think it’s reasonable for the provincial government to keep board meetings from (us) and prevent us from sitting at that table – we can be supervised, but we don’t need to be excluded anymore.
