Pauline passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on April 8, 2026. She’s moved from a life full of energy to enjoying eternal peace. We take comfort knowing she is with her Lord and Saviour. She was a loving mother to the late Clare, Michelle (Tom Toole), Margo (Jim Yanchula), Catherine (Marcus Girgis), Therese (Benny Santoro), Charlie (Karen), and Denise. Pauline was a cherished Mémé to Sidney (Dan), Samuel, Mateja, Micah (Lyric), Sophia, Milo, Quinn, Levi and the great-grandmother of Makaiah. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Claire Laforet as well as her brother Robert Laforet. Surviving are her sisters-in-law Arlene Laforet and Claudette Mc Lenahan. Many nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors and all who were lucky enough to know her will miss her deeply.

One of her favorite places was at the kitchen table with others where she loved to share laughs and listen. Pauline had a strong faith as a devoted Catholic which she carried throughout her life. Born and raised in Stop 26 in Riverside, she took pride in her family’s roots in the area. Her caring personality led her into nursing where she dedicated herself to volunteering and helping those around her.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL at 11677 Tecumseh Road East, Windsor (519-253-7235). Visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 13, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 – 8:30 pm with prayers at 3:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 10:30 am at St. John Vianney Church located at 385 Dieppe Street in Windsor. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Chance Ministries, Divine Mercy Food Bank or Street Help. Online condolences can be shared with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
