It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of John Frederick Welsh’s sudden passing at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the age of 64.
John was a familiar face and a respected coach for KMFL, PMHA, and the St. Peter’s Sr. Football team.
He leaves behind his loving wife Vicki, their children Sarah Jennissen (Gerard), Jonathon, and his grandchildren Lila-Jane, William, and Margaret. He is also survived by his brothers Jim (Tracy) and Bill (Anita); brother-in-law to Nancy (Bob passed away in 2021). He was a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, located at 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough on Monday May 11, 2026, from 11 a. m. until 1 p. m. Words of remembrance will be shared starting at 1 p. m., followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the KMFL John Welsh Financial Grant.
