JOHN HILARY LYNCH

We are heartbroken to share the news of John Lynch’s passing from Cobden. He left us peacefully at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the age of 85. John was a devoted husband to Florence Lynch (nee Walsh). He was a loving father to Tim Lynch (Teresa) and Darcy Lynch (Jennifer). His grandchildren, Brendan, Owen, Jack, Kiley, and Megan were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his brother Danny Lynch (Carol). He was predeceased by his parents Hilary and Mary Lynch (nee Enright) as well as his brother Connie Lynch. John dedicated many years of service to the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario. He loved spending time at the hunt camp, playing hockey, and participating in card games. His happiest moments were spent with family and friends while traveling between Cobden and Douglas, making regular stops at Mount St. Patrick. Friends can visit at the Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home Cobden on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM and again on Saturday March 28, 2026 from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM. Following that, there will be a Mass Of Christian Burial at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church Douglas at 11 AM. Spring interment will take place at St. Pius V Roman Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
