A woman from Winchester, Ontario has sadly passed away following a two-vehicle accident in North Dundas, as reported by the Ontario Provincial Police.

Officers from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP detachment responded to the scene of the crash, which took place on County Road 43 at County Road 1 around 11 a. m. on Saturday.

The collision involved a rental moving van and an SUV, according to OPP.

The 78-year-old woman was riding as a passenger in the SUV. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead later, as stated by OPP in their release.

County Road 43 between Kerrs Ridge Road and Church Road, along with County Road 1 at Kerrs Ridge Road, were closed for several hours following the incident.
