Friday reminded us that winter isn’t done yet, with snow still affecting the area and making road conditions tricky this morning.

The eastbound 401 is shut down from Oxford Road 29 to Cedar Creek because of a collision.

The westbound lanes were also closed between Homer-Watson & Fountain street in Cambridge and Cedar Creek due to another accident, but they’ve reopened now.

Highway 8 is completely closed in both directions between Seaforth and Mitchell due to bad weather and unsafe road conditions.

Drivers should look for alternate routes in affected areas and change their driving habits based on the current road conditions.

UPDATE (6:34 a. m.): #Hwy8 is now closed between #Seaforth and #Mitchell, due to inclement weather and poor road conditions. Motorists are reminded to adjust their driving habits to conditions. ^pia
