Don’t miss out on a fantastic night of live music! Maggie’s Wake is a contemporary Canadian folk-roots band that has won a Canadian Folk Music Award. They mix traditional Celtic tunes with jazz, Americana, and classic country. The group is currently touring around the region.

At the core of the band are two talented musicians: songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tara Dunphy (The Rizdales, Luther Wright and the Wrongs), whose heartfelt lead vocals and skills on tin whistle, flute, and fiddle shine in every performance, along with Lindsay Schindler (Rant Maggie Rant, Trent Severn), an internationally acclaimed fiddler, composer, and author known for captivating audiences. Together, they create a rich harmony that defines the band’s sound. Completing the lineup are Andrew Kosty on upright and electric bass and Ken Palmer on acoustic and electric guitar.

Since their start, Maggie’s Wake has filled sold-out theaters and concert venues.

Tara Dunphy kindly spoke with us before their tour in northwestern Ontario. You can listen to clips from the interview and check out some of the group’s music below.
