A collaborative effort by the OPP has resulted in the arrest of two individuals from Wasaga Beach on Wednesday, facing several charges linked to sexual offences.
According to police, officers from the Major Crime Units of both Dufferin and Huronia West detachments, along with Dufferin’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), executed search warrants in Orangeville and Wasaga Beach.
This operation led to charges against a 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, both residing in Wasaga Beach. The male suspect has been held for bail.
As part of this investigation, authorities seized three firearms, ammunition, electronic devices, and other related items.

The man faces a total of 14 charges, with many relating to sexual misconduct and assault. Two out of these 14 involve sexual assault and sexual touching of someone under the age of 16. Another charge pertains to child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
Meanwhile, the woman is up against seven similar charges, including one regarding the sexual touching of someone under 16. She is set to appear in court in Orangeville on February 10.
