Ontario Provincial Police report that a 19-year-old from Ottawa lost his life in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 17 near Renfrew early Friday morning.
Authorities received calls about the crash at Storyland Road in Horton Township around 6:40 a. m.
The police haven’t disclosed the victim’s name or details about the vehicle he was driving, after previously stating on social media that the incident involved a transport truck and a passenger vehicle.
The highway is currently shut down between Storyland and Bruce Street, with detours available on nearby residential roads.
