With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Cora on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the age of 88.
Cora was predeceased by her loving parents, Ron and Sue Prior from Gore Bay, Ontario. She also lost her brothers Andy (Sharon) and baby brother Rodger, along with her granddaughter Emily and great grandson Matthew. She is survived by her siblings Bob (Joan), Beverly (Bert), and Steve.
Cora was a devoted mother to Kim (Rob), Tammy (Frank), and Barb (Randy). She took pride in being a grandma to Jason, Kyle, Stephen, Jennifer, Michaela, Mac Kenzie, and Elizabeth. As a great grandmother, she adored Koen and Vienna as well as Riley and Penelope.
Born on May 26, 1938 in Ice Lake on Manitoulin Island, Cora spent most of her life in Sault Ste. Marie. She was loved by many people around her. Her involvement with the Tarentorus Curling Club brought her joy over the years. Cora enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and cherished time at her cottage on Desbarats Lake with lifelong friends. Known for being a great listener, she loved sharing laughs with those close to her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made (by cheque or online) to A. R. C. H. or another charity of your choice in Cora’s name.
