Two residents from Wasaga Beach and Midland are facing charges following police operations this week.

Law enforcement officials charged two individuals after executing search warrants across various locations in Simcoe County, where they confiscated drugs, cash, and a vehicle.

This past Monday and Tuesday, multiple warrants were carried out throughout the area. According to Orillia OPP in a news release, police recovered 239 grams of suspected cocaine, $6,040 in Canadian currency, a 2020 Dodge Ram 2500 truck, drug trafficking tools and packaging materials, along with mobile phones.

A man from Wasaga Beach, aged 49, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

A 26-year-old man from Midland has also been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) as well as possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The identities of those accused have not yet been disclosed.
