Norfolk OPP are asking for help from the community to find those responsible for vandalizing a property in Simcoe by discharging fire extinguishers throughout the building.

Police received a report of a break-in on South Drive just after 8 a. m. on Saturday. They discovered that overnight, one or more individuals had broken into the property, damaging the exterior and causing significant destruction inside with fire extinguishers.

The police are urging anyone with information to reach out to the Norfolk OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Man Arrested on Warrant Had Weapon: OPP

A man from Norfolk who was wanted due to an outstanding warrant was apprehended by Norfolk OPP Sunday evening while in possession of drugs and a knife, according to police reports.

Officers were patrolling near the Norfolk fairgrounds when they spotted the suspect around Grove Street and Queen Street South.

The man, aged 33, was arrested and searched, revealing suspected cocaine, items related to drug trafficking, and “an edged weapon,” as stated by authorities.

The individual faces charges including two counts of violating a probation order, possession of cocaine for trafficking purposes, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and obstructing police officers.

He is scheduled to appear in Simcoe’s Court of Justice on August 18.<p

Three Arrested Over Assaults and Threats</h3<p<Two separate incidents in Norfolk led to three people being charged with assault over the weekend.<p<On Saturday night, Norfolk OPP received reports about an assault on 10th Concession Road in Langton where it was reported that an argument escalated into one person assaulting another while making threats.<p<A Brant County man aged 46 was arrested and charged with assault along with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.<p<He will appear in court in Simcoe at the end of September.<p<Early Sunday morning saw officers take two individuals into custody after they allegedly assaulted and threatened an employee at a business located on James Street in Delhi.

р<This has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<p<<р<Police reported that four individuals arrived at the business via vehicle and engaged in an argument with an employee there.<р<When law enforcement arrived at the scene, both the driver and passenger were taken into custody as their vehicle remained present.<р<A woman from Markham aged 31 faces charges for assaulting someone while also being intoxicated in public along with having open liquor inside her vehicle.<р<A local man from Norfolk aged 33 has been charged for refusing compliance during police demands as well as failing to surrender his driver's license.<р<Both are set to appear in Simcoe court on future dates.<р

Vehicle Damaged Near Vittoria</h3

A teenager aged 17 has been charged with damaging a vehicle close to Vittoria last Friday night.<Norfolk OPP reported that they were called out around 10:25 p. m. on July 3 concerning arguments occurring at a property on Charlotteville Road 5; during this time frame one individual caused damage while trying to leave the area in their vehicle.<н<A local teen from Norfolk was arrested under charges relating to mischief involving damage done towards property; he will later appear before Simcoe court regarding this charge.<n SGamble
