The City of Windsor has been granted a total of $9,284,338 for the 2025-2026 fiscal year due to its partnership with Caesars Windsor.

This funding is allocated in the annual budget to support infrastructure upgrades such as new playground facilities and a new cricket pitch at Derwent Park.

“It helps offset the amount we have to get from the property tax base to deliver some of the projects that we deliver,” said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens. “We’re extremely appreciative for the partnership that we have with Caesars Windsor and OLG because it actually pays strong dividends to the City of Windsor.”

Since Windsor opened its first casino in 1994, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has contributed over $140 million to the City through the Municipality Contribution Agreement.

“OLG truly values being a long-standing partner in the city of Windsor and to communities across Ontario. Every dollar of OLG’s profit is returned to Ontario to support the things people care about most, like critical infrastructure, local initiatives, and community events. Those dollars are making a difference here in Windsor. The impact wouldn’t be possible without the great team at Caesars, whose work supports both the local economy and community well-being,” said Kathleen Devine, OLG Senior Municipal Relations Manager.

The City of Windsor receives its municipal contribution quarterly. These funds have already been included in the 2026 municipal budget.
