Here in the US, we’re just a day away from an important election that could change who controls Congress.
Will Republicans keep their majorities in the House and Senate, or will Democrats take back control?
This is a key moment for US President Donald Trump, who has been traveling across the country to support Republican candidates. If his party loses its majority in Congress, it could hinder his plans and affect the last two years of his presidency.
We’re focusing on crucial battleground states that might decide the Senate outcome, including Texas, Maine, Michigan, Alaska, Ohio, Kansas and Iowa. Our teams will be reporting live from these locations this week.
Voters will also choose leaders for their cities and states and weigh in on various ballot measures related to voter ID laws, property taxes, abortion access and more.
We’ll keep you informed with all the updates you need to know about why this election matters.
