A prolonged heat wave is still affecting parts of northeastern Ontario.

According to Environment Canada, this includes Thunder Bay, Lake Nipigon, Atikokan, and Superior West.

Temperatures are expected to reach between 28 and 33 degrees, but it will feel like 35 to 40 degrees through Thursday and into Friday.

There won’t be much relief at night, with temperatures only falling to around 17 to 21 degrees.

Environment Canada advises staying hydrated by drinking water regularly, closing blinds or shades, using air conditioning, or finding a cool place.

It’s recommended that you follow the guidance of your local public health authority.
