A 32-year-old woman has lost her life, and her two-year-old son is fighting for his life after a head-on crash between a pickup truck and a minivan in Flamborough on Tuesday morning.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers from the Burlington detachment were called to the scene of the two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 5, just east of Hwy. 8, around 7 a. m.

Both drivers were hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
The incident has led to an extensive investigation by the OPP. Authorities have yet to release any names related to this case.
Charges are anticipated as investigators continue looking into what caused the accident.
If anyone witnessed the crash, stopped to help at the scene, or has dashcam footage or other video evidence, they are urged to get in touch with OPP.
