La Salle police have reached out to the Ontario Provincial Police for assistance in solving the town’s first homicide in four years.

On the evening of March 3, officers responded to a residence on Todd Lane, where they discovered a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim, 43-year-old Nancy Grewal, later passed away from her injuries at Windsor Regional Hospital.

Authorities have executed search warrants at both the Todd Lane home and Grewal’s residence in Windsor. The residents of the Todd Lane home are not viewed as persons of interest in this case.

The investigation is still ongoing under the guidance of the OPP Criminal Investigations Branch. The Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are providing support.

On Sunday, OPP shared footage of a suspect’s vehicle via social media.

Police are asking for any dashcam or surveillance video showing a vehicle that may have parked on a gravel laneway on the north side of Todd Lane at 10th Street between 8:45 p. m. and 9:30 p. m.

Investigators also want to speak with anyone who saw vehicles parked in that laneway before March 3.

If you have any information about this investigation, please contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122, La Salle Police at 519-969-5210 ext. 2531, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or visit www. catchcrooks. com.
