A death deemed suspicious at a park in Perth, Ontario, which is known for hosting the last deadly duel in the region, has now been classified as a homicide.
Officers from the Lanark OPP arrived at Last Duel Park shortly after 3 p. m. on Sunday to find an individual with severe injuries. The victim was transported to a trauma center but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Authorities suspect this incident was targeted and do not see any indication of a larger threat. The park has reopened for public use, and while police presence has decreased, investigations are ongoing and officers remain vigilant.
