York Regional Police (YRP) are looking for two individuals after a man from Richmond Hill was allegedly kidnapped earlier this month – an event that sparked a significant investigation by the Homicide Unit and resulted in one arrest, with two more suspects still outstanding.
Authorities say the victim was reported missing on Tuesday, July 7, from his workplace near Denison Street and Woodbine Avenue in Markham. Evidence collected at the scene led officers to conclude he had been taken by force, prompting the Homicide Unit to take charge of the case.
Just two days later, on Thursday, July 9, investigators found the victim unharmed. One male suspect has already been arrested and charged, although police have not disclosed his identity yet.

Two Suspects Still Wanted
Investigators have identified two additional suspects who are still at large and are now appealing to the public for help. Ying “Amy” Tang, 53, from Markham, is wanted for kidnapping with a firearm and forcible confinement. Police report that they have been unable to find her and a warrant has been issued for her arrest. Jianwei “John” Fan, 44, from Toronto, is wanted for conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. A warrant for his arrest has also previously been issued. Their photos have been shared as investigators continue their search for both individuals.
