The area has been cleared following a multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Tomlinson Drive and Goderich Street in Port Elgin.

Saugeen Shores police, firefighters, and paramedics were on the scene.

The traffic lights at some intersections in town were down because of a power outage.

Authorities advise treating these intersections like four-way stops when the lights are out.

This morning, there was another crash near Lamont Sports Park on Concession 6 in the southern part of Port Elgin. Three individuals were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Emergency responders also handled a structure fire on Bluewater Drive in Port Elgin. This is located a few blocks behind or west of Giant Tiger. There’s no update yet on how serious the fire was.
