Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in locating a male suspect linked to a break-in at a construction company in Pickering that occurred in October.

According to Durham Police, the individual used bolt cutters to cut through chains locking the front gate at 24/7 Vacuum Excavation on 8th Concession Road early on October 7. The suspect then tried to steal diesel fuel from two different fuel tanks before departing the scene in a dark-coloured SUV, which had a rear passenger side wheel that was ‘different from the rest.”

The suspect is described as white and stands around 5’7” – 5’8” tall with a heavy build. He was dressed in a black Under Armour hoodie and black pants.

If anyone recognizes this man or has any cellphone, dash cam, or surveillance footage related to this event, please reach out to Det. Obront of the West Crime Team at 1-888-579-1520 x 1905.

You can also send anonymous tips to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www. durhamregionalcrimestoppers. ca, and tipsters might qualify for a cash reward.
