Tamara Lynn Goetz, 63, from Ontario, New York, and Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2026.
Born on August 8, 1962, in Rochester, New York, Tammy was the daughter of Harry S. Crosier and Beverly Crosier. She spent her childhood in Bergen, New York, and graduated from Byron-Bergen High School.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, James “Jim” Goetz; their sons Matthew (Ambre) Goetz, Andrew (Rachel) Goetz, and Joshua (Amanda) Goetz. She also leaves behind her mother Beverly Crosier; her brother Scott (Amy) Crosier; and her adored grandchildren Lydia, Travis, Maggie, Mollie, and Marlie Goetz. Her beloved dog Abby will miss her as well.
She is predeceased by her father Harry Crosier and stepfather Clarence Rogers.
After finishing high school, Tammy began working at Le Roy Village Green Nursing Home where she found joy in caring for others. Following her marriage to Jim and their move to Ontario, she devoted herself to raising their three sons while creating a nurturing home for them.
As her family expanded, Tammy took on various part-time jobs including waitressing, daycare work, clerical roles with the Town of Ontario Highway Department maintaining park grounds as well as serving in the Assessor’s Office. One accomplishment she took pride in was volunteering with the local ambulance and fire company where she truly shined in helping others.
Tammy had a warm smile and infectious laugh that could brighten anyone’s day. A cousin once described her as “full of fun and spirit” who always knew how to make people laugh. She had a unique talent for keeping in touch with family and friends never passing up an opportunity to share stories or catch up on life.
She loved camping at the lake and making special memories with her children and grandchildren. Whether around a campfire or just spending time together outdoors or indoors, Tammy found happiness surrounded by loved ones.
Florida held a special spot in Tammy’s heart. What started as childhood vacations turned into a lifelong affection for the Sunshine State. She cherished its warmth, the beaches, and the tranquility she felt near the ocean. After retiring, Tammyand Jim realized their dream of calling Florida home.
Tammy will be cremated in Florida before being interred in Attica New York. A celebration of life will take place later with more details coming soon.
