VIVONA, Vincenza (née Vilardi)
Born on February 8, 1937, Vincenza passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026. She has reunited with her dear husband, Sebastiano Vivona, who left us in 1997.
She was a loving and devoted mother to Isidoro (Francine) and Anna. As Nonna, she cherished her grandchildren: Sebastiano (Jodi), Alexandra, Antonio Di Carlo, Rosanna (Ryan Oozeer), Natalie (Dickson Lam), and Daniel (Arden). Proudly known as Bis-Nonna to Brooke, Liv, Emma, Sophia, Niya, Eva Enza, Remy, Theo and Aline; their presence brought her so much happiness.
Vincenza was a sister to the late Benedetto Vilardi (2003), Montagna Vilardi (2021), Stefano Vilardi (2023), Maria Vilardi; the late Angela Riolo (1992) and Antonino Riolo (1964); Sina Pigliardo; and the late Giuseppe Pigliardo (2025). She also had many relatives in Giuseppe and Pierrina Vilardi and Vito and Domenica Vilardi.
As for her sisters-in-law, she is remembered fondly by those who have passed including Stefano Vivona (2000) and Marianna Vivona (2000); Mattia Cusumano (2017) and Vito Cusumano (2008); Vincenza Taranto (2012) and Jerry Taranto (2017); Maria Faraci (2010) and Pasquale Faraci (2007); Andrea Vivona(2020); Lina Vivona of London; Anthony Vivona(2006); Janet Vivona(2016) of London.
Her many nieces and nephews across Canada, Australia, and the United States will also carry fond memories of her.
Vincenza retired from General Motors Trim Plant after working there for many years as a powersewer. Those who knew her admired her quiet strength along with her unwavering love for family. She was also a proud member of Congregazione di San Giuseppe.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Yusuf Oozeer along with the hospice team. They truly appreciated all the staff whose kindness made Mom’s journey more comfortable. A special mention goes out to our angels-Elizabeth, Belinda, Carmen, Rose, and Hagine-for their exceptional care that meant so much to our family. We will always remember your kindness.

Visitation will be at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home located at 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. on Sunday July 5th from 3:00pm-8:00pm with parish prayers at 5:45pm. The funeral service takes place on Monday July 6th at 11:15am from the funeral home to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at noon. Entombment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
