With great sadness, we share that Nikola Kokic passed away on June 1, 2026 at the age of 85. He was previously married to Gloria Reiter for 32 years. He was a loving father to his children Karl Kokic (Nada) and Christine Kokic. Nikola is now reunited with his parents Baljak and Masa Kokic (nee. Mijat) in heaven. He was a proud grandfather to Victoria, Vincent, and Abigail. He had a special bond with his late brother Pavle, Stipan (the late Miranda), and Lucia. His nieces Viviana, Julie, the late Dayana, Miri, Suzie, Carol, along with nephew Steve will miss him dearly.
Nikola dedicated three decades as a custodian at the University of Windsor, showing true commitment throughout his career. From 1985-1995 he served as president of CUPE 1001. He was also an avid reader of science and philosophy all his life.
A proud Canadian and Croatian, Nikola moved to Canada in 1963 and made Windsor his home. He contributed to the construction of Hwy #3. His love for family and friends spanned across both North America and Croatia.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 2:00pm-5:00pm and again from 7:00pm-9:00pm with parish prayers at 7:00pm. Cremation will follow.
