GIRARD, Layla Layla passed away peacefully on October 7, 2019, with her family and her beloved cat Eve by her side at just 12 years old. She was the cherished daughter of Chris Girard & Dawn Marchand and the stepdaughter of Joe Marchand. Loving sister to Ella, Dallas, Hayden, and Juno. She was adored by her proud grandparents Art & Donna Williams and Mike & Marie Bastien. Layla will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Layla’s family wants to express their gratitude to Layla’s Army for all of their support. The family also appreciates the Fight Like Mason Foundation, Little Hands, and Childcan for their generosity in recognizing Layla as the superhero she is. A special thanks goes out to the caring staff at LHSC Children’s Hospital & The Hospice of Windsor-Essex for their exceptional care and compassion. We extend a very special thank you to Leo Larizza from the TLC Foundation for being such a wonderful friend to Layla and her family. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, October 9th 2019 from 2-5 & 7-9pm. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Chapel on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10am. Interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. If desired, donations to the TLC Foundation in memory of Layla would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences and treasured memories can be shared with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
