It is with sadness that we share the news of Giovanni Di Mambro’s passing on September 19, 2026. He was born in Valleluce, Italy, on December 4, 1939. Giovanni was the son of Francesco and Giuseppa (nee Dicicco) Di Mambro and brother to Giuseppe (Maria) Di Mambro. He leaves behind his daughters Josephine Dantas (Mike) and Carmela Parent (Frank), as well as his cherished grandchildren Hannah, Christian, Matthew, Andrew and Robert.
Giovanni had a love for gardening and enjoyed taking care of his fruit trees. He took great pride in his home and appreciated life’s simple pleasures.
His mother moved to the United States but later went back to Italy. Determined to create a different life for himself, Giovanni settled in Canada where he worked hard for a brighter future for his family. His family and numerous friends will miss him greatly.
A visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel), located at 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234), on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 2:00-5:00 p. m. and again from 7:00-9:00 p. m. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 9:30am followed by a procession to Heavenly Rest Cemetery for entombment.
