With heavy hearts, we share the news of Francesca Cerroni’s passing. She left us peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a devoted wife for 59 years to Giovanni Cerroni.
Francesca was a caring mother to Antonella (Enrico) Notte, Louie (Teresa) Cerroni, and Daniel (Michelle) Cerroni.
As a proud Nonna, she cherished her grandchildren Gianluca, Sabrina, Christian, Olivia, and Alessia.
She is also survived by her dear siblings Tony (Shari) and Jim (Cindy) Tempesta. Francesca was a loving sister-in-law to Teresa (late Antonio) Carlini.
Her absence will be felt deeply by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Francesca was predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Maria Tempesta as well as her in-laws Luigi and Antonia Cerroni.
She’ll always be remembered for her strong love of family-especially for her grandchildren-her delightful baking and cooking skills, her passion for gardening, and the joy she found in caring for her dogs. She dedicated many years to working as a sewer at General Motors Trim before retiring.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Nurse Practitioner Filomena Rowley, the compassionate Hospice team, Nurse Anoop, PSW Kate, Dr. A. Figaro, and Dr. Stephen Rukavina for their outstanding care and support during this time.
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Banwell Chapel located at 11677 Tecumseh Road East in Windsor on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 1:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m., continuing on Monday, April 27 from 9:30 am until the Funeral Service begins at 10:30 am.
Fr. Greg Bonin will officiate the funeral service followed by entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers or gifts please consider making donations in memory of Francesca to Hospice of Windsor and Essex County or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Windsor Humane Society; it would mean a lot to the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel Banwell.
