Bora Apostolovski, a woman of great strength, kindness, and love, passed away peacefully in her sleep to be with our Lord on January 21, 2026.
Bora’s life was filled with adventure and dedication. Born in Vratnica, Macedonia, she later moved to Aachen, Germany. There, she met Jovo, the love of her life. Their journey eventually took them to Windsor, Ontario, where they created a wonderful life together and recently marked their 50th wedding anniversary.
During her time at Magna International, Bora was recognized not only for her dedication but also for the meaningful friendships she formed. She earned deep respect from both management and coworkers; many became close friends.
After retiring, Bora enjoyed life’s simple pleasures wholeheartedly. Whether she was caring for her garden, taking long walks, or catching up with friends over coffee and shopping trips, she navigated through life with a warm smile. She loved playing cards and found joy in being surrounded by family-and of course, her dear dog Bailey.
Bora will be remembered for her gentle yet strong spirit. She was the neighbor who always reached out first, the friend who lent a helping hand whenever needed, and the heart of her family. Her love and quiet strength have left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by a loving family: her devoted husband Jovo; sons Ivica and Dejan; daughter-in-law Ana; and treasured grandchildren Olivia and Ashton who were everything to her. Bora also had five caring sisters: Zora; late Menka; Ubavka; late Koca; and Slavanka along with many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her father Slave and mother Milica.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the kind staff at Tayfour Rehab and the Palliative Care Unit at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare for their exceptional care during this time.
Visitation will occur at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235), on Monday, January 26, 2026 from 3-5 pm and again from 7-9 pm.
