Rich passed away peacefully at home in Napanee on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

He will be fondly remembered by his wife Mary (Filman), his sons James (Krista) and David (Jennifer), and his four wonderful grandchildren June, Madilynn, Cole, and Evelynn.

Rich was a caring and special “Big Brother” to Rob Kellett, and a proud brother-in-law to Carolyn Millar and Nettie Henry. His nieces, Heather Skillen and Barbara Wilson, added happiness to family gatherings. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas.

Rich had a great love for history, toy soldiers, reading the , following the stock market, and listening to Neil Young. However, what he cherished most was time spent with his family.

In line with his wishes, there will be no funeral. Interment will happen in Lundy’s Lane Cemetery, Niagara Falls at a later date.
