Environment Canada has lifted the tornado warning for areas around Gananoque, Ont.

Lyndhurst, Charleston Lake Provincial Park, Lansdowne, Mallorytown, Athens and Rockport were affected.

“This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation,” the agency had warned shortly before 8 p. m. Wednesday, advising people to immediately take shelter in a basement, interior room or a sturdy shelter.
