Claire C. Wisdorf, age 87, of Little Canada, MN passed away on September 19, 2025, at Cardigan Ridge assisted living Care Center in Little Canada, MN. Claire was born on October 13, 1937 in Fulda, MN. After finishing high school, she joined the Rochester, MN order of Franciscans and stayed with them for 17 years. She later pursued a career in elementary education and school counseling in the Chicago area until her retirement. Once retired, Claire returned to Minnesota to be nearer to her family.
Claire was preceded in death by her parents; Jack and Margaret Wisdorf; her brothers Robert, Leo, and Jerry; her sister Jeanette Manning (John); brother-in-law John Manning; sister-in-law Jo Ann Wisdorf; as well as nephews Terry Wisdorf and Alan Wisdorf.
Claire is survived by her brother John (Little Canada, MN) and Gene (Chaska), along with her sister Margaret Gurucharri (Tom) from Louisville, KY; nieces Lisa Wisdorf, Kim Houtkooper, Kelly Scanlan, Colleen White; and nephews Jeff Wisdorf and Brian Wisdorf.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Roseville Memorial Chapel (2245 Hamline Ave N., Roseville MN). Visitation starts at 9:30 AM until the service begins on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will take place later at St. Gabriel Cemetery in MN.
