Kyle Johnathan Trethewey, 53, of Thunder Bay, sadly passed away unexpectedly at TBRHSC on July 6, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born on October 23, 1972. Kyle graduated from Lakeview High School and went on to study HVAC/refrigeration mechanics at George Brown Polytechnic. He spent many years working at Polar Mechanical before starting his own company, Controlled Climate, in 2024. He will always be loved and missed by his daughter Brooke (his little girl), who brought him immense joy, along with her mother Helen Janiec. He is also survived by his mother Angela Mc Millan, brother Brad (Debra), niece Abigehl, and nephew Landon. He was predeceased by his father Bill in 2025 and his grandparents. Numerous cousins and friends remain to remember him fondly, especially Colleen, who was very close to him. Cremation has taken place; a celebration of life for family and friends will be arranged later. Instead of flowers, donations to any charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
