Norman Mero passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, at the age of 60, surrounded by his family. He was a proud father to Douglas and Dillon Mero and a loving son to Donald and Rose Mero. Many friends and extended family will miss him dearly.

Norm actively participated in his community throughout his life. He was affiliated with Delta Chi Fraternity, served as a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus Fr Nicholas Point Council #4375, and was a 4th Degree member of Rt. Rev. W. J. Langlois Assembly #1789. Additionally, he was involved with the Institute of Municipal Assessors of Ontario, Appraisal Institute of Canada, and the Law Society of Upper Canada.

In his younger days, he played bass guitar in a small band which helped him form lasting friendships while nurturing his love for music. To those who knew him well, he was an exceptional cook who took pride in preparing meals for himself and his loved ones. Norm also had skills as a pizza chef and earned certification as a Chocolatier. He truly had an impressive range of talents.

Everyone who knew Norm will feel his absence.

In honor of Norm’s memory, the family appreciates any memorial donations to Brentwood Recovery Home.

Visitation is scheduled at Windsor Chapel – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E) on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 3pm – 5pm and again from 7pm – 9pm. Prayers from the 3rd degree and 4th degree Knights of Columbus will take place at Thursday at 7:30pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Ste. Anne’s Parish (12233 Tecumseh Rd E) starting at 9:30am until the Funeral Mass begins at 10am. Burial will follow at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery.
